We rented a car and drove to Sunset Beach which is close to Huntington Beach. The drive there was full of fanfare. We left the crowded and busy Interstate Highway to travel the coast on the historic Pacific Coast Highway. We drove through quaint and cute ocean front towns, continually thinking that we were lost. We saw glimpses of the ocean before the sunset at 7:00 (Ca. Time). Which seemed early to us. When we finally arrived at our stopping point it was 10:30 Texas time and we were tired and cranky. We all could feel the effects of all day travel. Our room was great! It had a private balcony that over looked the beach.

The next morning we were still on TX time and awoke at 4:30 (Ca time). At 6:30 Leon and I had coffee on the balcony watching the surfers and beach walkers get ready. The ocean is so beautiful and calming. You can hear the waves and smell the sea. I could live next to the beach.
We checked out of the hotel around 11:00 and hit the highway again. We drove to Agoura Hills to take a tour of the Joni and Friends International Disability Center.
Our tour lasted 3 hours (they usually last 1). The building is 34,000 sq ft of beautiful serenity. We met several of the 64 paid employees. We were able to have a short visit with Joni and watch her tape a video for a disability summit. She showed Shonnie how to use some features on the voice activated software that they both use.
She greeted us like we were old friends. She has a heart for people especially the disabled. She is a remarkable person and able to accomplish so much. She gave Shonnie an open invitation to go to work there someday.
We left there and travelled through the mountains to the Paci
The small cities ran together and were so cute and beachy. At Santa Monica we got onto the Interstate and travelled to La Jolla where we will stay the next two nights.
We are tired, Leon is already asleep. I wish I had the words to explain all we saw. The flowers are so healthy looking. They are full and lush. The ocean and mountains are massive. Everything is beautiful. The Lord has blessed us with good weather. Sunny and warm but not too hot. The nights are cool. NO HUMIDITY!!! It is sooo cool!!
I can't think very clearly to explain it all effectively. I better get to bed no telling what tomorrow will have in it. It is about 1:00 AM (Ca. Time)
Thank you for praying for us and God is answering those prayers. He is so good to us. We are so undeserving and yet He chooses to shower us with
His love all the time.
Until tomorrow,
Noralee, Leon and Shonnie
